- _dddd_iiii_rrrr_cccc_mmmm_pppp examines _d_i_r_1 and _d_i_r_2 and generates various tabulated information
- about the contents of the directories. Listings of files that are unique
- to each directory are generated for all the options. If no option is
- entered, a list is output indicating whether the file names common to
- both directories have the same contents. _dddd_iiii_rrrr_cccc_mmmm_pppp processes supplementary
- code set characters in directory and file names according to the locale
- specified in the _LLLL_CCCC______CCCC_TTTT_YYYY_PPPP_EEEE environment variable [see _LLLL_AAAA_NNNN_GGGG on _eeee_nnnn_vvvv_iiii_rrrr_oooo_nnnn(5)].
-
- _----_dddd Compare the contents of files with the same name in both directories
- and output a list telling what must be changed in the two files to
- bring them into agreement. The list format is described in _dddd_iiii_ffff_ffff(1).
-
- _----_ssss Suppress messages about identical files.
-
- _----_wwww_n Change the width of the output line to _n columns. The default width
- is 72.
